Plage Bleue Beachfront Apartments Review

If you are planning a trip to Mauritius and looking for a place to stay that is both luxurious and homey, I have a recommendation for you – Plage Bleue Beachfront Apartments.

 

Plage Bleue Beachfront Apartments are modern and beautifully designed 3 bedroom apartments located in the North of Mauritius. As the name suggests, they are positioned on the beach which is the best position for an island vacation. During my recent stay at Plage Bleue I could relax, be free and feel at home. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail of this establishment.

There are three apartment types to choose from:

Premium apartments

These apartments are 120 sq. metres. They have a lounge area with a smart tv that leads to a balcony with an outdoor dining table and webber gas BBQ. One of the three bedrooms is en suite. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom which has a shower. The apartments are neat and beautifully decorated with colour tones of white, grey and blue.

Beachfront

The interior of the beachfront apartments are identical to the premium apartments. The Beachfront apartments differ in that they are positioned facing the ocean.  From the lounge of the ground floor units, you can walk out to the pool and beach. The first floor units have a balcony overlooking the ocean.

 

Superior apartments

These are larger than the premium and beachfront apartments. All three bedrooms are en suite and they have a more spacious living area.

Duplex apartments

The duplex apartments also have 3 en suite bedrooms but have the additional benefit of additional privacy as they have a private pool and garden as well as a private entrance.

Because I stayed at the beachfront apartments, this review is based on those specific apartments.

The bedrooms at Plage Bleue

You can expect bedrooms with crisp, white bedding and grey and blue toned finishings.

Temperatures in Mauritius are high all year round so I appreciated that there is air-conditioning in each room. The main bedroom is the largest and has views of the ocean.

 

The other two bedrooms, though smaller, comfortably fit two people per room.

 

 

 

 

The kitchen at Plage Bleue

When they say these apartments are full stocked, they mean it. Everything I needed, they had.

 

The kitchen has modern finishes and appliances and is very well stocked with everything you need to prepare and serve a great meal.

 

You have the option of dining indoors or outdoors as there are two dining tables in each apartment.

 

The facilities at Plage Bleue

One of the best things about Plage Bleue is the gorgeous infinity pool facing the ocean. It is child friendly as it has a large shallow section. On either side of the pool are sun loungers in which you can comfortably relax.

 

The beach is easily accessible from the pool area. Though the beach is rocky, you can still walk into the water and enjoy a dip in the calm ocean. There are also umbrellas and loungers along the sand.

The view at Plage Bleue

Mauritius is one of the most naturally beautiful places. The beachfront apartments face the ocean. The colours work beautifully together – there are various shades of green from the coconut trees and lawn against all the shades of blue from the ocean and sky.

 

At sunset the pink skies made the view look like a painting.

 

 

 

The location of Plage Bleue

The vibey North of Mauritius is the place to be.  Plage Bleue Beachfront Apartments are located in the North of Mauritius Island. The north of Mauritius is a great place to stay because it allows for easy access to both day and night interest points within close proximity to each other such as shops, bars, restaurants and activities.

Within walking distance from Plage Bleue are souvenirs shops, hotels with spa facilities and restaurants. It is a 10min walk to Trou Aux Biches. You can either walk along the road or along the sand to get to Trou Aux Biches.

 

The services at Plage Bleue

The staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. Apartments are cleaned daily except on Sundays. The manager is available on site five days a week. There is a security guard at the gate 24 hours a day who controls access into and out of the . The parking area is secure with CCTV cameras.

Mauritius is one of those places that I can’t help coming back to again and again. So Plage Bleue, I will be back.
