Have you seen the South Africa bucket lists in my story? A must do in South Africa: Go up Table Mountain 🇿🇦 There are two ways to get up. Which is your first choice - Hike or Cableway? . Aerial Cableway: This is weather dependent. Remember to check the Table Mountain website before you go to see if the cable car is operating. The website is reliable - they update it frequently. One hour it may be open but the next it may be closed due to bad weather. You can prebook tickets or buy on arrival. Price: R300/360 per adult for a return trip (Price depends on what time of day you go). It’s free on your birthday 💃🏿 . Hike up: There are various routes but the easiest and most popular is Platteklip Gorge route. It starts near the cableway queue. The path is clear and you definitely don’t need to pay a guide - keep your money. We did it as students 5 years ago. Price: FREE. I love free 😜 Remember to dress comfortably, apply sunscreen and bring lots of water.

This isn’t a zoo. This is the Jane Goodall Chimp Eden in Nelspruit, South Africa 🇿🇦 @janegoodallinst . It’s home to chimps that were ill treated by humans and cannot adapt to living back in the wild. Some were abused in circuses others were kept as pets. One of the chimps used to be chained outside a nightclub and handed cigarettes and alcohol as entertainment. Each of their stories are so sad. . This sanctuary is a non profit organization. You can show your support by simply visiting the sanctuary and going on an educational tour for R220 per adult. . I want to live by the sea but also on a farm but also in a forest but also at the Palace of the Lost City, you know? 🙃 .
